Fiber Fusion Northwest is proud to present Alpaca Fleece judging under International Show Rules. Under International Rules, judging is open to ALL farms. There are no AOBA membership requirements and no AOBA Show Fees to enter.
The ' Open Judging' format utilized at Fiber Fusion provides a fantastic learning experience that is not offered at most shows!

- Hear the Judges comments as the fleeces are evaluated
- Even ask questions of the Judge
- See all entries in the class on the same table at the same time they are judged

- Use the results to help improve your breeding program by making informed decisions

- Take advantage of the opportunity to sell your fleece at the auction on Sunday
- Save yourself shipping fees. There will be several processing vendors at Fiber Fusion that can turn your fleece into roving, yarn or felt. Many of them are willing to take your fiber at the close of the show - allowing you to save on shipping fees.
What does it cost?
Fiber Fusion's pricing structure is set up to make it affordable for you to get valuable information on your whole herd.
- Low-cost entry fees - just $25 per fleece ($20 for NSAA members)
- PLUS Multiple Fleece Discounts - Enter 3 or more fleeces and get $5 off each fleece entered!
- No other fees! This show is judged under International Rules - you do not need to be an AOBA member, or pay AOBA show fees, to enter.

Meet our judge....
Babs Manion Our fleece judge for 2013 will be Babs Manion. Babs Manion together with her husband, Rick, raise Huacaya and Suri alpacas on their ranch located just north of Eugene, Oregon. Babs has studied and learned about alpacas from industry leaders along with over 16 years of personal experience in daily alpaca ranching. She is a certified AOBA judge in fleece, performance, Suri and Huacaya halter. In October 2004 Babs graduated from the International Alpaca Judging School (IAJS) in Peru. |
