We are currently selecting classes and negotiating contracts.  Please check back - updates will be posted as they become available.

Morning classes will run from 9 am - noon and afternoon classes will run from 1 pm - 3 pm.

Spinning Blends: The Long & Short of It

Join Amelia for an evening seminar on fiber blends.  Wool, silk, angora, alpaca - each fiber has its own traits, so developing blends is a bit like creating a new cookie recipe.  Amelia will share her exploration of blends:  what fibers blend well, why blend, why not, and how!  That's right, it's not only about the fibers you combine, it's about how you combine them and how you spin them.  See fiber properties combine in blends, and how blends change when they are spun.  Explore how spinning methods can maximize the fibers and colors in a blend, and how to create unique handspun blends at your wheel or spindle.  Gain an understanding of blends that will have you looking at fiber in a new way.
