Knitting with Handspun Yarn
So you have these amazing skeins of hand spun in your stash. Now what do you do with them? Are you afraid to work with them for fear of choosing the wrong project, running out of the yarn or having some other unforeseen disaster? Hand spun yarn is unique and often quite lovely. Knit into an item it can be the pinnacle of a hand knit object. But it is not without its challenges.
What information do we need to make decisions about how to work with it? In this workshop you will assess and make samples with a variety of hand spun skeins and examine the elements you need to think about when you make decisions about how to work with this unique yarn. You will come away from this workshop with confidence on how to proceed on a project using hand spun yarn. The adventure begins.
Required Skills: Must have some basic knitting skills

Supplies Student Should Bring to Class: Assorted sizes of knitting needles (3mm, 4mm, 5mm, 6mm), knitting needle gauge, measuring tape, Minimum two hand spun skeins varying sizes.
