Class Description: Dive into the different methods of carding art batts for visual appearance, texture in the completed project, and color blending. See examples of how different materials (such as Angeline, wool nepps, silk noil, and mohair locks) work up once spun or felted. Learn the basics of color blending to get seamless transitions or create your own colors. You will be working with fiber that has already been cleaned, processed, and dyed.
Required Skills: Basic knowledge of spinning
Students Should Bring to Class: Drum carder, doffer, cleaning brush
Supplies Provided by Instructor: Fiber packets for carding and any written handouts for reference
