Class Description: Plain Weave woven on the diagonal is a very useful technique, but sometimes we want something a bit fancier and maybe more fun to weave! This class will have ideas about color work and textured patterns. There will be stitch patterns but also information on how to go about making your own designs. We'll take a look at some lace as well. Is there a wedding coming up this summer or maybe a baby? There really is no end to the possibilities once you get started!
Required Skills: You must know how to weave a plain square using diagonal weaving!!!
Students Should Bring to Class: Bring your square or triangle loom, 10 to 14" works best. You'll need the standard weaving tools: hooks, needles, etc. You can bring your own yarn if you wish, worsted is standard but you might want to try dk or even fingering for some projects.
Supplies Provided by Instructor: I will have yarns of various sizes as well as the printed booklet with instructions and projects. I will have a few looms to loan if you’ve come without yours.
