Class Description: Striped (or blended) top can electrify a spinner's creativity - and can disappoint. Depending on the strategies and methods spinners use, colors in striped top can be preserved, toned down, brightened, or made more distinct. In this class we'll explore a variety of alternatives and will be able to predict the yarn outcomes.
Required Skills: Ability to spin a continuous thread
Students Should Bring to Class: A working spinning wheel with all its parts; hand cards or blending board optional; extra bobbins & a Lazy Kate; labels
Supplies Provided by Instructor: Striped top in a variety of colorways and content (mostly merino and merino blends)
