Description: Naalbinding is an ancient form of single-needle knitting. Archaeological examples have been found in cultures around the world, including Scandinavian, Egyptian, and the Pacific Islands. It's tricky to get started but easy to master. You can take it with you on vacation or work on it at home with just a large needle, some yarn, and a pair of scissors.
Required Skills: It will be helpful if you've done any yarn-related craft before, but it is not required to learn this skill.
Students Should Bring to Class: Bring scissors to cut yarn, but I will have some to borrow during class.
Supplies Provided by Instructor: Naalbinding needles and wool yarn will be provided, as well as a handout with some basic terms and photos to help you remember after the class. (We won't finish a project, but you should have a good start on one when you leave class.)
