Description: In this class, you will learn about alpaca fiber, both suri and huacaya. We will look at how to evaluate fineness and staple length and discuss how to choose a suitable fleece for your desired end product. We will look at different yarns, and show you how to choose a high quality alpaca yarn.

Supplies Provided by Instructor: Handout, black and white paper, lighting, fiber samples to keep and whole fleeces to look at.
