This workshop focuses on pattern design and resist techniques, while using fiber-reactive dyes for vibrant, lasting color with simple setup. You will experiment with several Shibori methods and dye your own custom textiles in your choice of colors. You'll learn how to prepare fabrics for dyeing as well as how to preserve color for the long term. All materials are provided, including four large cotton tea towels. You may also bring one small cotton item to personalize or one yard of muslin fabric.

Students Should Bring to Class: You may bring one cotton shirt, pillow case or other small fabric of your own to dye in addition to the squares we will do in class to practice patterns.
