Class Description: Colored cables is a combination of simple striping and working a cable simultaneously. The end result is stunning yet the technique is rather simple. We’ll start with a super easy provisional cast on that has multiple uses, knit vertical stripes, work and understand cable abbreviations and read a chart. We’ll finish the project with a simple russian graft to complete the headband. Various options will be discussed.

Students Should Bring: 

  • 1 skein of heavy worsted/Aran weight yarn in dark color (DC)
  • 1 skein of heavy worsted/Aran weight yarn in light contrasting color (LC)
  • 2 sets of US# 9 needles: DPN’s, straight or circular needles will work
  • 1 cable needle
  • Crochet hook
  • Tapestry needle
