Class Description: Looking to add some pazazz to your weaving? Pickup lace weaving could be your answer. Pickup lace weaving is done with a pickup stick and is usually used at the start, end and sometimes middle of a project such as a dish towel, table runner, curtain, etc. This class will show you a variety of weaves to use to add that elegance of lace to your projects.
Required Skills: Able to read a threading draft. Comfortable with weaving and weaving terms.
Student Should Bring to Class:
1. 4 Harness Loom already pre-warped with your heading already in and ready to
weave.
2. Loom warped with 3/2 cotton, black, 2 yard warp.
3. Weft yarn, white, 3/2 cotton.
4. Reed EPI should be 12 and we will use a width of 15”. If your weaving width is
smaller than 15” then just use the width of your loom.
Note: Use the standard formula for warp:
12 EPI x Width x Length = Warp
Use the standard formula for weft:
12 EPI x Width x Length (less loom waste) = Weft

than the 3/2 cotton, pickup stick that is wider than your warp, normal weaving
accoutrements (weights for broken or loose ends, scissors, etc.), Several Stick or
small bobbin shuttles, Bring your extra warp yarn, and Bring your weft yarn.
