Class Description: Knitting 102 / Knit a shawl is an intermediate knitting class which will enable you to build upon your knitting skills. It is great as a follow-up to beginning knitting or for those who already have the basics down. In this fun and interactive three-hour workshop, you will learn how to increase and decrease stitches while creating a triangle scarf. You will also learn to find and fix basic mistakes and pick up lost stitches as well as learn some additional knitting stitches, tips, and tricks, and when you’re finished, you will have a beautiful shawl. Please note we will start the shawl in class and you will complete it at home.
Required Skills: Intermediate. Students should already know how to cast-on, bind-off, knit, and purl.
Students Should Bring to Class: One skein, already wound (250 yards or more) of sport/DK-weight yarn to class.
Supplies Provided by Instructor: Materials printed pattern, knitting needles, cable needle, stitch-markers, and resource guide.
