Class Description: Embellishing our wardrobe is becoming a real trend in our fashion world. From huge flowers to other creative designs, it seems the sky's the limit to adding a motif to our knitted, woven, or crocheted items. This class will cover approximately 10 basic embroidery stitches that you can use on garments or even on the basic embroidery material to keep in the hoop as a wall decoration. These stitches
will get you on the road to what seems like zillions of old and new stitches alike. All so beautiful, and with practice – so doable! We will be using a stiffer fabric in our hoops to get grounded in the basic stitches, making it easier to learn, handle, and practice with before venturing forward. Come and see what embroidery can do for you! I'll also prepare a handout of great conferences/events/ useful contacts, and any other
information that will make your embroidery journey amazingly fun. So come and join us!!
Required Skills: None – just the ability to follow step-by-step instructions & a bit of patience in the beginning.
Students Should Bring to Class: Pen/pencil, paper, scissors.
Supplies Provided by Instructor: Students will receive abundant instruction materials as well as a selection of yarns, threads, needles, base material, a hoop, and other handouts.
