Class Description: Baltic Braid knitting is a simple technique of strategically crossing two colors of yarn to create colorful twists and perpendicular roping to your knitting. It’s a fun way to incorporate texture and color into any knitting project. We’ll practice several different braiding techniques as well as a braided cast on and various “rope” styles on a wristlet project. It’s an easy knitting class that will give your project an advanced knitting appearance. Wristlet will be worked on in class. Cowl pattern will be
provided in class.
Required Skills: Beginning Intermediate level. Must be able to knit in the round. Basic Fair Isle knowledge helpful but not necessary.
Students Should Bring: 2 - 4 Partial skeins of DK weight yarn; US# 5 DPN’s or 2 sets of circular knitting needles or Magic Loop circular needles; St markers.
