Class Description: Enter the world of color with dyeing your own yarn in a rainbow of colors. Join Sarah Kain of Teton Yarn Company in exploring the world of color. Learn about gradient, random, and hand painted dye methods from start to finish. Students will be provided 2 100 gram skeins of wool yarns to dye in class.
Required Skills: None: Improve your dyeing skills.
Students Should Bring to Class: Students should wear old clothes, apron and comfortable shoes with good soles. If you have nitrile allergies, please bring your own waterproof gloves such as dishwashing gloves.
Supplies Provided by Instructor: Wool based yarns, Acid Dyes, Dye bottles, Reclosable bags, Non-Latex gloves, Plastic Wrap, Steamer Tables, Labeling materials, and Handouts. Additional yarn will be available for purchase from the instructor if time allows.
