Location: 4-H Building
Class Description: Let’s learn to spin different art yarns together. This class will explore some of the best and extremely fun types of art yarns e.g., corespun, autowraps, boucle, chain plyed, and eyelash. Don’t be intimidated any longer by these yarns, learn how to make these fun and expressive yarns.
Required Skills: Students should have a good working relationship and confidence in using their wheel. They must be able to spin a stable consistent single and have some experience plying and finishing yarn.
Student Should Bring to Class: Students should bring their spinning wheel in good working condition with extra bobbins, lazy Kate. Bring a spun single in dk weight and a spun single in sport weight. Bring any tools you might like to use (handcards, mini combs, etc.), and any fiber you would like to practice with, especially art batts, and note taking materials.
Supplies Provided by The Instructor: Covers core materials, plying thread and auto wrap thread.
