Location: 4-H Building
Class Description: Come explore the breeds! Eight different (some rare), sheep breed samples will be presented in this half-day class. You will go home with 2 ounces of washed fiber per breed, for a total of one pound of wool samples. We will discuss the uses for each breed and project samples and patterns will be available. Our eight breeds this year will be: Finnsheep, California Red, Shetland, Gotland, Romeldale, Ile-de-France, Lincoln, and Border Leicester.
Required Skills: No experience needed.
Student Should Bring to Class: Wheel or spindle if you want to spin samples.
Supplies Provided by Instructor: 2 oz samples of above breeds.
